Thank you to the Historic Thalian Hall’s Pied Piper Theatre for continuing a tradition of introducing children to live theater so our 1st and 2nd grade classes could enjoy a special day watching "The Pirate Ants". Each year Pied Piper Theatre performs for over 6,000 first and second graders from across multiple counties at Thalian Hall. Students travel by bus and are treated to an original musical comedy featuring talent derived from the local acting community. 🎭

Good Afternoon Sea Turtle Families, Bus 310 will be approximately 60-90 minutes late this afternoon. Bus 281 will be approximately 15-20 minutes behind schedule. If you are able to provide transportation for your child, please send an email to sce_info@pender.k12.nc.us and we will notify the student that they will be a car rider. After reading Grandfather's Journey and Tea With Milk, books by Allen Say, Mrs. Burnett's 3rd grader had a classroom visit from Mrs. Kennedy, a parent who talked about her similar life experience immigrating to the US from Korea and her experiences also living in Japan.

Mrs. Batts' kindergarten class is mastering how to record a total and parts in a number bond with decomposing 5 and 6 in more than one way.

Mrs. Faircloth's STEAM classes have been studying how snowflakes occur and the science behind snowflakes. We hope all our students get to enjoy seeing real snow!❄️

Hello Sea Turtle Families, By now, I am sure you have received the update from PCS. Tuesday, we will operate on an Early Release schedule. There will be NO afterschool activities on Tuesday. PCS will continue to send updates district-wide as decisions are made. Mr. Bailey
