Ms. Hahn's 2nd graders explored hands-on learning by working with a collection of items at their tables. With a partner, they first estimated how many items were in their collection. Then, they counted and organized the items in a way that made sense to them. Afterward, they drew a picture to show how they grouped or arranged the items. They're building strong number sense to prepare for understanding multiplication in third grade!
Ms. Rickard's 5th grade classes completed a digestive system lab where they went through every step of the system with bread, water, and vinegar. By the end of the lab they had created "human waste". 🤢

Mrs. Stewart's 3rd graders made some really great positive affirmation posters. Each student wrote a compliment or something that is special about their classmates. After they passed them out to each student, they created a poster to remind themselves how much they are loved and appreciated.💙💚
The End of Year benchmark window is April 22-May 2. All students K-5 participate in EOY Benchmarks. Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd complete mClass Reading and STAR Math. 4th and 5th will complete STAR Reading and STAR Math.
