Cape Fear Community College is offering free haircuts this Saturday, August 24, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Barber School located at 108 Walnut St.
No appointments needed—just walk in! All haircuts will be supervised by a licensed instructor and are first-come, first-served. Remember, students under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Get ready for the new school year with a fresh look!

This is an announcement for all students interested in trying out for softball, football(7th and 8th graders only) and cheerleading. Parents, we are having an athletic interest meeting this Thursday, August 15th, at 5:30pm in the CFMS media center. We want to help you with the transition to Big Teams Student Central for physical forms and all the necessary paperwork to compete in athletics. Hard copies from physicals last year and also ones from the free physical clinic at Trask will be there to collect so you can have them to complete the Big Teams Student Central process. All students/parents will need to complete this process before trying out for a team. Due to flooding, Pender County Schools will be closed for students on 8/9. Penderlea and Pender Early College will continue virtual learning. Staff can report if safe; contact your supervisor if working virtually. All after-school activities are canceled. Stay safe! #OnePender

Due to severe weather, all PCS facilities will close and after-school events are canceled starting at 4 PM today, August 6. This includes schools and admin buildings. Penderlea and Pender Early College students will dismiss on time. Emergency staff will be contacted if needed.

This is where you will upload physical forms and all necessary paperwork to compete in athletics. Every parent and student will need to create an account. Attention Rising 6th grade students,
We will be hosting a 2 day academic and enrichment summer bridge event for our rising 6th grade students! The purpose of the Summer Bridge camp is to kick-off the transition to middle school by reviewing, practicing, and engaging in skills necessary to be successful in the 6th grade. Daily, students will engage in lessons with our CFMS teachers, participate in activities that build strong peer relationships prior to the first day of school, and will dive into fun enrichment activities. Dates: Tuesday, August 6th, 2024 and Wednesday August 7th, 2024 Times: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Breakfast & Lunch will be provided.
