Yesterday, the staff at Cape Fear Middle celebrated the holidays with a delicious lunch and festive get-together featuring a white elephant gift exchange during our staff meeting. It was wonderful to see our team relax, connect, and enjoy some well-deserved fun!
A huge thank you to our amazing PTO for providing the fantastic lunch and to our Sunshine Committee for organizing such a memorable celebration. These moments of appreciation and community are what make Cape Fear Middle special!

✨TEACHER TUESDAY✨Mr. Paul Elmore teaches 8th grade and Math I at Cape Fear Middle School. Now in his 12th year of teaching, he is known for helping students feel more confident in math. Families and staff say he has a way of keeping students’ attention and breaking down concepts so they make sense. His goal is for students not only to understand the material but also to apply what they’ve learned.
What stands out most about Mr. Elmore is his reliability. He’s willing to help whenever he’s needed—before school, during the day, or after dismissal. Staff often refer to him as “Mr. Dependable” because they know they can count on him.
Recently, a teacher at CFMS had a flat tire during a heavy rainstorm. Mr. Elmore went outside and helped change the tire, giving up his own time to make sure the staff member was safe and able to leave. It’s one example of the way he consistently steps in for others.
