Students from across the state performed on Saturday at the Givens Performing Arts Center after spending just one day working with guest clinicians to prepare the concert. 🎨🏅 Art, Music & Band Olympics: A Celebration of Creativity and Teamwork! 🎶🏆
Over the past few weeks, Ms. Marshburn and Ms. Patrick have collaborated on an exciting Art/Band/Music Olympics unit! 🎨🎵 Students worked together to create unique team names and design their own flags, showcasing both artistic skills and teamwork. Teachers joined in by judging the flags and awarding points for creativity and effort. 🚩⭐
The excitement continued as students headed to the gym to participate in some relay races! 🏃♂️💨 Students competed in 4 different relays alongside Coach Bell's PE classes. It was an eventful day filled with friendly competition, school spirit, and lots of laughter. 😄🎉 This was a fun and memorable experience for our students.
The students used valuable skills such as problem-solving, communication, and working together. 🤝💡 They learned the importance of good sportsmanship, perseverance, and creativity. Combining the arts with physical activity, students see how different subjects connect, helping them build confidence and a strong sense of school community. 💪🏫❤️
