Each homeroom decorated a pumpkin for Red Ribbon Week. Voting takes place today through Friday for the best pumpkin per grade level. Winners will be announced Friday afternoon. They all look amazing!

CFMS 8th Grade Decades Day
Take a trip to the past with the 8th graders at CFMS! For nine weeks each student researched different decades, using primary and secondary sources, and created projects and essays, writing in an argumentative essay style, to convince their Social Studies and Language Arts teachers that their decade of choice was the best. On October 20th each 8th grader participated in Decades Day. Decades Day is a day of rotating stations that test students' knowledge on timeline events, sources used in research, music of different genres, and showing off their first quarter projects to their peers. It was a totally awesome experience and one that will go down in the 2023-2024 school year’s history!

Congrats to our softball team for winning both the regular season and tournament championships. We beat Topsail MS 8-6 to win the tournament and continued the tradition of winning softball championships. Great job coach Jamie Bullard. #ExperienceTheExcellence

Look who showed up to Cape Fear MS today. Smokey Bear and the NC Forest Service named Mario Andrews the middle school Smokey Bear art contest winner.
