Monday is the 100th day of school. Grab your granny glasses and your collections of 100, and let's celebrate!

Fridays are Fun Days! 1st Grade Stingrays played a game with our Code and Go Mice in STEAM class.

The Wilmington Sharks stopped by to encourage our Stingrays to form strong reading habits. Each student has been offered a reading challenge that can earn them 2 free tickets to a Sharks game!

$20,850 and climbing! We have raised the most in the state for the American Heart Association! We appreciate all of our families and the donors for helping STE stand out! Thank you to Mr. Brobst for his effort and energy... and for being a great sport about getting slimed!

South Topsail 5th grader Bailey Yarbrough is an avid softball player who loves strawberries (not the ones from sliding into a base) 🍓 She's also a star in the classroom who "will not quit" learning. Bailey is the latest PCS Student of the Week https://bit.ly/3WKLaOn #PCSPride

Revolutionary things are happening at STE! Mrs. Bagwell and Mrs. Dickerson got in character today to help 4th grade Stingrays get excited to learn about patriots, loyalists, and the American Revolution.

Due to the threat of severe weather in the area, all Pender County Schools after school activities on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 have been canceled. #PCSPride

Welcome, Dr. Breedlove! If you would like to meet our new PCS Superintendent, Dr. Breedlove, please attend one of the events listed on the flyer.

Mr. Kinkead (and Mrs. Eames) are attending training with the FIRST Lego League in preparation for STE’s upcoming Robotics Club (available to 4th and 5th graders). Legos + Coding + Future Engineers = Fun!

One of Pender County's finest bus drivers turned 80 on Saturday! South Topsail students and families love working with Mr. McIntyre as he always has students' safety as his priority. Happy Birthday Mr. McIntyre! We love you!

Hey Santa, do you need someone to light the way this year? We've got the brightest reindeer here at South Topsail!
Tomorrow is red and green day (and tonight is the 1st & 2nd grade performance at 6:00 and 5th grade performance at 7:00!)!

The weather may have been chilly today, but these Stingrays were cozy in their flannel! Tomorrow is "Holiday Socks and Reindeer Ears" Day!

Do you know what snowmen do at night? These kindergarten Stingrays know... and they engineered sleds for their snowmen to use for their nighttime adventures!

Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Yarbrough's kindergarteners had special visitors this week (no, not the classroom elves!). Topsail High School seniors came to read books to them. What a treat!

The best part about Thanksgiving? The pie! 3rd grade Stingrays had "pie day," tasting different pie varieties and completing reading, writing, and math tasks all related to this holiday favorite!

What is Thanksgiving without a parade? Ms. Cantrell's kindergarteners learned about the history of the annual parade and the spectacular balloons on display. This morning the school was treated to a parade of the class' own balloon creations.

The tradition lives on! 2nd Grade Stingrays worked on themed decorations and understanding the origin of Thanksgiving before gathering together for a holiday feast.

Students were treated to a performance today by the 4th and 5th grader chorus, led by Ms. Rodgers. We have some talented Stingray singers!

Wow! We exceeded our profit goal for the 22-23 Book Fair! Thank you to our Stingray families for your support, and to all of our hard-working volunteers! Stay tuned for updates on how the profits will be spent to enhance the STEAM Program in the Media Center.

The Book Fair is here! Parents, don't forget to set up an e-wallet for a cash-free experience for your child! [cash, credit, and debit are also accepted] https://www.scholastic.com/bf/southtopsailelemschool
