The sixth grade students had the opportunity to explore the Starlab dome last week. As they entered, they journeyed into the night sky, located constellations they had researched and retold myths associated with the constellations.

Next week, we’re showcasing the incredible talents of our students during a series of special events!
✨ Tuesday, December 10th at 5 PM:
Stop by the Gym Lobby during the Theatre Classes' "Holiday Extravaganza" to admire student artwork on display.
🌟 That same evening, one of our students will be honored at the School Board Meeting for having her art selected as one of this year’s Holiday Card Designs!
🎼 Wednesday, December 11th from 6–8 PM:
Join us at the Winter Band Concert at the Topsail High School Auditorium, where even more student artwork will be featured.
Please note: Some students have chosen to keep their artwork at home, so while not all pieces are on display, we’re still proud of every artist's creativity and hard work.

Students in Mrs. Smith's Engineering class were hard at work using blueprints, measurements, and tools to construct home models.
Mrs. Hill’s 7th-grade science class had a SWEET time and got hands-on in making an edible cell complete with all the organelles made out of candy and icing.

8th grader Taylor Evans volunteered at a community center in Ashe County, NC for Helene relief over the Thanksgiving break. She and her sister Sydney (former Shark) were randomly assigned to BOOKS, perfect for this Library Assistant and Battle of the Books 3 year team member! There were boxes and boxes of unorganized books they were to go through and sort. They made a mini library, complete with sections and signs. The staff there were so incredibly impressed and thankful. The girls spent 3 hours opening boxes, sorting books, making little bookshelves out of various things they found, and making signs for each section. They turned the community center stage into a library! Great job, Sharks!
