It's only noon and these kiddos are having a great start to their first day of school. First grade chased the first day jitters away with some Jitter Juice 💚. Mrs. McDonald's class enjoyed lunch as new kindergarteners in the big cafeteria 🥪 and Ms. Polster rocked out with 5th graders while bucket drumming to We Will Rock You. 🥁

OMKC INVITES YOU TO REGISTER YOUR MILITARY KID AT SURF CITY ELEMENTARY!
Military Kids from each branch of service (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force and Coast Guard), both active duty and veterans, are invited!
The mission of OMKC is to provide military kids with a fun, safe place to be connected and encouraged with other military kids in their school. During club, we have snacks, celebrate birthdays, play games, have fun encouraging each other and doing service projects.
NOTE: OMKC is a COMPLETELY separate program from the Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC) program. OMKC is a school club, ran with the help of volunteers like you (our military families) that brings military kids together to have fun once a month

Join us for the Fall season of Girls on the Run! GOTR is a running-based program through the YMCA that focuses on health, relationships, positivity and FUN!
The team will meet Mondays and Wednesdays immediately after school from 2:30-4pm.
The season runs from 9/18 through 12/9, ending with a grand finale Christmas-themed 5k! PCS has been made aware of a damaged fiber cable which is affecting internet and phone service at all Topsail and Surf City schools. Four County Electric is currently investigating the issue to determine the location of the cut.
