Kindergarten is Wild About Books!

We're happy to share with you that Evelyn S. from Mrs. Gray's 3rd grade class is our Sea Turtle of the Week for the week of September 4-8. Evelyn, your school is proud of you.

Check out Mrs. Taylor's first grade rock stars. Today they worked on centers; Read to Self, Word Ladders, and Letter Sound Correspondence. First grade, your school is proud of you!

In our new ELA Curriculum, Wit & Wisdom, students work on breaking down vocabulary words to help unlock the text’s meaning. When our students understand the words in a text it allows them to access the knowledge the text offers. Check out Mrs. Buckley's 5th grade class hard at work with this new skill.

These Kindergarten kids are awesome. They're checking out their own library books on their first visit to the library. Way to go! 📚🙌

Check out our awesome 5th graders. They're enjoying the sunny weather during their recess time and some interactive math activities on the Clear Touch panels in their new Learning Cottage.

First full day for our lovely Kindergarten kids. They're busy learning how to 'Turn & Talk' with our new ELA curriculum, Wit and Wisdom. 💙💚

Bus Evacuation Drill ✅

Our students and staff are top notch! A super day of remote learning is in the books. Students learned about weather by measuring the rain fall while Ms. Sidbury helped plan support for Wit & Wisdom lessons. Other kiddos worked diligently at home on assignments for class as well as art. Ms. Polster had a banana spider hang out with her during the storm and decided to research them. She learned that they stay in their webs all day even during hurricanes & tropical storms. Their webs are super strong.

Kindergarten is in full swing today with their remote learning. They're on a scavenger hunt looking for all sorts of fun things. Check out some of these finds. Something that is yellow and has a battery, something that is a square and something you made. Keep up the great work!

Our school resource officer doesn't just keep our students safe, he also helps out in our community. We are lucky to have you Officer Wyke!

A glimpse into the first week of school. Reading together, team work activities and meeting Nurse Anita. 💙💚
