Get ready to celebrate Read Across America Week, February 28 - March 4!

Students had a great time participating in a fun run today to raise money for our school. These students (and their parents) pulled in $77,000 in pledges which means that our profits are almost $53,000! That's $15,000 more in profits than we have done in any previous year.

Tomorrow's the day!
1st and 4th will run at 9am.
Kinder and 5th start at 10:30
2nd and 3rd run at 11:45.
Come cheer on your sea turtles!

Day one making salt dough land forms in Ms. Main's 3rd grade class. They researched all last week to pick the land form. Today they used fractions to help them make the salt dough recipe to build land forms. Tomorrow they will paint. them 🗻🏔🌋🏜

STUDENT OF THE WEEK - Quinn Lemanski likes to read, the color yellow and mac-n-cheese, so she's your typical Kindergartener - her teacher Regina Royal thinks she's that and then some. Quinn is the latest Pender County Schools’ Student of the Week https://bit.ly/3LVeXzr

Check our Mrs. Comstock's kiddos. They are learning about magnets and magnetism in science class so they used a magnet broom to search for magnetic objects outside. Look what the kids found!

We are super excited to host this years Elementary Battle of the Books competition. Our team hard worked so hard for the past few months reading and rereading all 15 books. Wish them luck on Thursday!

Ms. Becky Moore was gracious enough to come do a lesson on dental health with some first grade classes as well.
