Good luck to our TSA club as they are headed to Greensboro for the TSA competition. TSA is a student organization where students engage in TSA STEM-based competitions that cover such topics as architecture, communications, engineering, leadership, and technology research. We have 3 groups competing in the VEX IQ Robotics competition and a student competing in the CO2 Dragster competition. Good luck Adalee, Jeffery, Dellas, Sienna, Cameron, Kristin, Luke, Brooklyn, Xander and Jack!

On a rainy Thursday morning in April, 10 teachers, 9 parent chaperones and 150 8th grade students travelled to Durham, NC, to visit the Museum of Life and Science. This trip was Amazing! The students were able to enjoy every aspect of the interactive experience. Some of the highlights were the butterfly house, the mist and waterfall exhibits, the dinosaur trail, the chemistry lab, and artifacts from the Apollo era. A huge “Thank you!” is extended to Mrs. Wolfe and Mrs. Paylor, CFMS 8th grade teachers, for planning this excursion. Also, we cannot forget the parents that gave their time to lead groups through the exhibits. Most of all we would like to thank the 8th grade students for their enthusiasm and cooperation on their first field trip since 3rd grade. Please enjoy the memories from our special day.

Our students had a great time at Special Olympics today! Marquey won gold in the long jump, 100 meter dash and softball throw. Izzy won gold in the 50 meter walk and participant in the softball throw. Great job!
CFMS CIS Robotics team took 1st place at the county robotics competition for the second year in a row! They out scored 3 other teams during the competition, all the while maintaining the gracious professionalism that FIRST Robotics looks to instill in it's participants, living up to their team name The GOATS!
