The TMS band embraced the Halloween spirit with their Halloween concerts. 7th grade band was Monday and 8th grade was Wednesday at THS. Great job Pirates! Looking (and sounding) great!
Please remember that TMS is a peanut-free campus. With all of the Halloween candy around for the next couple days, please help us protect our students with peanut allergies. Please make sure that any candy that comes to school does not contain peanuts. Thank you. Go Pirates!

English 1 students in Mrs. Nicholson and Mrs. Vergenez classes are beginning their passion projects. Today they learned that research in 6 steps will be a longer process than they thought. Students worked on topics they were interested in using Ebsco databases for credible resources. Some topics discussed were about how humans are affecting and impacting ocean animals and environments . 8th graders have "big" thoughts about our future!
TMS community: At approximately 1pm, one of our staff members noticed a potential concern in the main gym. Out of an abundance of caution, TMS went into shelter-in-place while emergency services assessed the situation. The issue has been addressed and we have been cleared to return to normal operation. Thank you. Go Pirates!!
Well done to all of the boys that tried out for soccer. It was a great turnout and the coaches had a difficult time narrowing down the list. Congratulations to those that made the 24-25 Boys soccer team!
Please come out tonight to cheer on the TMS Pirate softball team as they complete against CFMS Bears for the PCS middle school softball championship. First pitch is 5p at HTHS. Go Pirates!!!

Principal Spotlight: Dr. Alan McNaughton 🌟👨🏫
In celebration of National Principal Month, we’re proud to spotlight Dr. Alan McNaughton, who is in his first year at his current school and brings 17 years of experience in education. 📚✨ A true water enthusiast, Dr. McNaughton enjoys spending his free time swimming, scuba diving, water skiing, and wakeboarding 🌊.
A graduate of UNC-Charlotte, Dr. McNaughton is a fan of authors like Robert Jordan, David Baldacci, and Vince Flynn 📖. He loves using his smoker to make pulled pork and ribs 🍖, and his favorite pizza toppings are pepperoni, ham, sausage, and bacon 🍕. Before entering the world of education, Dr. McNaughton had an interesting job selling Kirby vacuum cleaners door-to-door 🚪. A fun fact: he was a college cheerleader and even appeared on national television in Daytona Beach 📺.
Dr. McNaughton finds joy in working with kids because of their curiosity and creativity, always trying something new. One memorable moment in his career was the board meeting when he was announced for his first administrative role 🌟. Now, he is grateful to work with an incredible staff who truly care about their students’ best interests 💙. His favorite school tradition? Staff gatherings where there's always great food involved! 🍽️
We’re thrilled to have passionate leaders like Dr. McNaughton guiding our schools! 🌟👏
TMS enjoyed their first pep rally today! We wished our football & softball teams good luck at their last game and tournaments coming up! We also enjoyed watching our very own teachers & admin get SLIMED. Students sailed past their goal at the TMS Fundraiser Color Run! It was a great day to be a Pirate!

We are proud to recognize Brinley, a 7th grader in Ms. Jennifer Medwick's Math class, for her incredible leadership and kindness! Brinley consistently goes above and beyond, staying after class each day to help tidy and organize the room—without ever being asked. 🌸
Not only is she helpful, but Brinley also shows up to class every day with a fantastic attitude and a readiness to learn. Her positivity and willingness to assist her classmates make her a true role model! 🌼
Fun Facts About Brinley:
Favorite Food: Tacos 🌮
Favorite Color: Yellow 🌻
Hobbies: Swimming 🏊♀️
Pets: Not yet, but maybe one day! 🐾
Interesting Fact: She plays tag every single day! 🏃♀️
