📚Teacher Tuesday - Kelly Czepiel, Topsail Middle School Special Education Teacher🌟
Kelly Czepiel has spent four years in the teaching field and goes into her line of work with a unique form of understanding developed by her purpose of instilling confidence and resilience within her students. She believes in the potential for overcoming obstacles and allowing students to achieve their goals.✨
Ms. Czepiel instructs Reading and Math, using her diverse experience in business and technology to ensure learning is an adventure in the classroom. Her most exciting classroom adventure was participating in the Tomatosphere project, where students grew space tomatoes in collaboration with First the Seed Foundation! 🚀🍅 She was also granted a Special Education grant by Study.com for her dedication to special learning needs students.
Ms. Czepiel is a proud graduate of the Pender County Schools Beginning Teacher Support Program and is also working on classes through East Carolina University to prepare to be a teacher. Her next goal? A Master's in Special Education! 🎓
Outside the classroom, Ms. Czepiel enjoys her wonderful family, adoring husband, and two sweet children. She is also a cancer survivor, demonstrating that she is capable of doing hard things—just like she inspires her students to do! Her experience has enriched her dedication to making a difference in the life of a child with special learning needs.
In her free time, Ms. Czepiel enjoys crafts and scrapbooking and hopes to travel to Italy one day. ✈️

PCS CTE Job Shadow Day - Carolyn, an 8th grader at TMS participating at Eastcoast Volleyball Academy, job shadowing head coach Allecia Raynor.
She gave private lessons and created her own practice plan for 2 different age level teams.

Exciting news from our 6th graders! They recently participated in a resource tasting, diving deep into our solar system. 🌌 By rotating through physical books, e-books, and online encyclopedias, they evaluated and cross-referenced sources to discover the most current and reliable information. 📚💻
🐔🔬 7th graders are diving deep into science! They explored how our skeletal and muscular systems work together by dissecting chicken wings. 🦴✨

Sophia, nominated by math teacher Brandon Wieland, is being recognized for her academic excellence and outstanding character.
📚 Sophia is the epitome of a dedicated student. She consistently does her best, ensuring that her work not only meets but exceeds expectations. As a member of the National Junior Honor Society, a library assistant, a participant in Science Olympiad, and Rocame, Sophia exemplifies a passion for learning and helping others. She treats everyone around her with respect, always humble and polite, setting a fantastic example for her peers.

🎉 Employee Spotlight on Joanna Boyles! 🎉
Joanna Boyles is the heart and soul of Topsail Middle School, going above and beyond for both students and staff. She juggles countless responsibilities with competence, humor, humility, and compassion. Last year, in addition to serving as assistant principal, she took on roles as testing coordinator, bus coordinator, and dean of students—all while leading the school in the absence of a principal.
Her impact is felt in every corner of the school, from supporting struggling students to chaperoning the 8th grade field trip to Raleigh. She leads with trust, flexibility, and an unwavering commitment to doing what is best for students.
