Congratulations to our former Stingrays and their peers on their graduation from Topsail HS! Once a Stingray, always a Stingray....
Congratulations, Seniors!

First grade hosted a drive up Mother's Day event, and kindergarten spoiled moms with a tea party today! South Topsail wishes all of our mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and friends a Happy Mother's Day!

2nd Grade Stingrays hosted a Living Wax Museum, showcasing the work they have done with biographies. Artists, sports stars, inventors, and historical figures were all present!

1st and 3rd grade Stingrays teamed up to put their knowledge of maps and landforms to the test by coding Sphero robots to give informational tours of their maps.

Students in our after school program, joined by Mr. London, beautified our campus by planting seeds for Earth Day. We can't wait to watch the seeds bloom along with our Stingrays!

Spring Sports Day is in full swing at South Topsail! There's still time to come check it out!

Spring is in the air! 1st Grade Stingrays practiced their math facts today with an egg hunt. Each egg had a math fact that students had to solve before adding to their egg carton.

As the 2022 Statewide Primary is nearing (May 17), a reminder that the distribution or display of political materials is prohibited.

4th grade Stingrays learned about the rock cycle by creating Starburst "sediment" that they formed into sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous "rocks" through the application of heat and pressure. Learning never tasted so good!

What a mess! 1st grade Stingrays learned the importance of details as they instructed Mrs. Wiggins on how [not!] to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Watch out on the roads! To end their unit on geography and environmental literacy, kindergarten Stingrays went to driving school to receive a Sphero driver's license so that they could "drive" on maps they created in their classrooms.

SURVEY SAYS - Aramark, our food service provider, is currently asking for input for its Student ViewPOINT survey at all Pender County Elementary Schools. We invite parents and students to take this survey together. The survey is open until March 18, 2022 at www.studentVP.com

Kindergarten Stingrays engineered truffula trees, based off of Dr. Seuss' The Lorax, as one of their Seuss-themed stations celebrating the author's birthday.

QUITE THE BATTLE - congrats to Topsail Elementary for earning the top score in the Elementary School Battle of the Books. TES edged Surf City by just seven points. Thanks to SCES for hosting today's event and for sharing some pictures https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqBUZRFXunk

Stingrays stopped paused at 2:22 to have a two-minute dance party on TWOsday 2-22-22. It was TWOriffic!

Do you know how a thermometer works? These 2nd grade Stingrays do! They made working thermometers and tested them in warm and cold water.

1st Grade #Stingrays have been learning about the dangers of single-use plastic and made their own biodegradable casein plastic! #bethechange

It's the 100th day of school for our Stingrays!

A big thanks to Topsail Magazine for putting the spotlight on Superintendent Hill's personal path and the one he envisions for students in Pender County Schools to succeed.
