
Math all around! Kindergarten is working on decomposing numbers in story problems while 2nd grade is exploring place value by creating bundles of 10.





Meet the Sea Turtles Series: Next, we're going to be seeing some familiar faces but in new roles this year. Go Mrs. Parrish, welcome to the Encore team, teaching STEAM.


Last week, Mrs. Taylor's first grade class learned about Johnny Appleseed and how he was a good citizen. They also learned about apples and were able to taste test apples too!






Congratulations to Mrs. Harbin and Mrs. Capobianco's Kindergarten class for winning the Golden Trash Can Award this week. They have really worked hard to keep their room neat and tidy each day. Great work Kindergarten!

Kindergarten is working on story problems using unifix cubes, 5 frames, and white boards to learn pre adding and subtracting skills! Plus they played feel the number where partners took turns writing a number on each other's back and guessing the number.

Lunch with the Law! 👮🏻 Our awesome SC Police Department joins kids each month for lunch where they work on building trust and open communication with the younger generation. Chief Voorhees said, "Building relationships with our youth sets the foundation for future discussions and creates an atmosphere in which they feel comfortable with the police that serve their community." 💚💙






Mrs. Smith's 1st grade class is reading Waiting for Biblioburro and today they created tableaux from the book. First students acted out the characters, then the setting and last the solution. Great work, First Graders!

Mrs. Livesey’s Kindergarten class is getting ready to enjoy the book, Day in the Life of Bubble Gum, on this beautiful fall day. ☀️ They're answering questions throughout the book about where the piece of bubble gum has traveled while also learning about the 5 senses. 📚

2nd graders are working on the importance of listening to the whole message when a classmate speaks so they can link comments to what other have said. Kindergarten
is learning about the number zero with their balloon problems. They practiced answering questions like How many, How many were taken away & How many balloons are left? Keep up the great work Sea Turtles!
