📢 Attention 5th Grade Parents! 📢 There will be an in person informational meeting for current 5th grade students interested in band class on April 17th @ 6:00pm in the Surf City Middle School band room. If you cannot attend in person there will be a Zoom meeting on May 8th. Students will be able to reserve an instrument at this meeting for next year as well. ANY rising 6th grade student and parent should attend this meeting if they are interested. Email Mr. Judy if you have any questions at trevor_judy@pender.k12.nc.us

We're happy to share with you that Harlee H. from Mrs. McDonald's Kindergarten class is our Sea Turtle of the Week for the week of March 25-29. Harlee, your school is proud of you.


Mr. Clark, a parent volunteer in Mrs. McDonald’s class, demonstrated how to build a skyscraper which helped the students make connections with their Geode book, Scraping the Sky.

5th grade enjoyed a field trip to Penderlea Farm in Burgaw today for Agriculture Day. Agriculture Day is a career day event that offered our students the opportunity to learn about agriculture, sustainability, and farm life firsthand.

Surf City Parks & Rec will be using Surf City Elementary as one of their camp locations this year and they still have some openings! Register now for some summer fun! 🌞


Mrs. Taylor's first grade class conducted a peep experiment to see how peeps change over time in different liquids. They had to predict, observe, and write the results of their experiment. Great work, scientists!




In preparation for April, the Month of the Military Child, we'd love all military families to be recognized in a slide show. OMKC will also be placing purple stars with student’s names out in the front of the school to recognize our military connected students! 💜
