Wednesday Happenings! Kindergarten had some fun with bubble day, sidewalk chalk Fundations, Geodes in blanket forts and name signing on t-shirts! While 2nd Grade had some s'mores by the campfire.







We are so thankful for the management at Harris Teeter who came today to cook a delicious lunch for the staff at SCE & SCM. Thank you all!

This evening SCE got to celebrate Brenda Gibson who is retiring at the end of the school year. All who know her know how wonderful she is. Congratulations Ms. Gibson!




Tuesday Happenings! 1st grade had fun with cave & camping day. 2nd Grade had some twins & a yo-yo master at recess. 3rd grade enjoyed some game time with friends. And 4th grade worked on animal adaptations presentations after researching the wild animal of their choice for science class.





Mrs. Allen's 2nd grade class been reading the Wild Robot series by Peter Brown. After tons of support from community near and far, each of her students gets to go home with a copy of the third book in the series, “The Wild Robot Protects” to enjoy over the summer! (P.S. Go see the movie when it comes out in September!) 🤖📚

Monday Happenings! Kindergarten had fun with slime. 1st Grade enjoyed a glow day. Students learned all about fireflies and how to make a glow volcanos! 3rd Grade participated in Teach the Teacher. They learned about French Bulldogs, the planets, boxing, softball, and much more!

Mrs. Holmes’ 3rd graders worked in teams to play Jeopardy…it was a fun way to review comprehension skills!

Mrs.. Collins' classes enjoyed using a formative assessment tool called Plickers for science EOG prep! The kids loved it and had fun!





The Master Gardener’s taught Mrs. Curry's 1st grade class about pollinators today. They learned the different dances that bees do to communicate and had a chance to act them out. Thank you master gardeners for an amazing year with lots of learning. 🐝🌿
