In STEAM class this week K-3 classes engineered their own ice rinks, created an athlete, and experimented with how magnets 🧲 can move objects based on winter Olympic sports on ice. The kids loved watching their figure skaters, hockey players, and speed skaters move on their ice rinks and challenge pathways.

Ms. Polster is teaching 2nd grade all about the xylophone. 🎶 They know that the metal instrument is called the glockenspiel. And the bigger the xylophone, the lower the sound. The smaller the xylophone, the higher the sound. 🔗 https://youtu.be/NoRx9rN8TjM

This week in Wit & Wisdom, Ms. Gruber's 3rd grade class read The Keeping Quilt and explored the beautiful traditions in the story. Students learned about challah bread, babushkas, and wedding huppas-and even got to taste challah and see a real babushka up close! They also created their own classroom quilt with pieces that represent their special class community. Such a meaningful and memorable week of learning!
