We hope that all families are enjoying Spring Break! Please remember that the Final Push Reading Challenge is continuing throughout Spring Break. Please consider completing the PCS Million Minute Reading Challenge google form found here, RPE Million Minute Reading Challenge!

• Outdoor Reading Picnic: Combine sunny weather with reading by packing books, snacks, and a blanket for a park or backyard.

• Literary Scavenger Hunt: Encourage young readers to find items at home or on vacation that rhyme, start with specific letters, or fit thematic prompts.

• Book Exchange: Host a gathering with friends to share, swap, and discuss favorite books.

• Movie/Book Pairings: Read a book, then watch the movie adaptation as a reward.

Rocky Point is the place to be on April 2nd!

We will be hosting our annual Field Day, AND the Kindergarten and 1st Grade classes will be presenting their Spring Concerts! The Field Day Schedule has been sent home previously and the Spring Concerts start promptly at 11:45am.

Please don't forget to send students with a water bottle and change of clothes/shoes as we have a lot of water fun planned. Please apply sunscreen before sending your student to school!

Parents are invited to attend field day activities with their student, so we can't wait to see you there!

Don't Forget! Our morning bell rings at 7:00am, and the school day begins promptly at 7:20am when the late bell rings. If you arrive for drop-off and there are no staff members on the sidewalk, please park and walk your child in to check them in as they are counted tardy. Thank you for your help in ensuring that students are present for the full instructional day!

Incredible Years is a FREE evidenced-based program based on 40 years of research. Families learn how to:

- Decrease challenging behaviors for school aged children ranging from 6-12
- Build cooperative relationships with your kids
- Create clear family rules
- Get on the same page with co- parents
- Decrease stress in parenting

Virtual sessions begin Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 6pm. There’s still time to sign up!

Spring vibes + cowboy boots are about to take over Rocky Point Elementary 🤠🌸

Boots and Blossoms Spring Fling is coming, and it’s shaping up to be a rootin’-tootin’ good time for RPE families!

Join us for an evening filled with western dancing, games, and fun activities for the whole family.

💲 Entry:

• Students/Children: $2 each (paid at the door)
• Parents/Adults: FREE

🍿 Concessions will be available for purchase, so bring a little extra if you want snacks!

👨‍👩‍👧 Families are welcome! All students must attend with an adult.

Monday, March 16th will be a Remote Learning Day due to high wind speeds. Learning is scheduled to be normal on Tuesday as of now.

We're less than a month away from April 2nd - our K/1 Spring Performances and K-5 Field Day! We are in need of more volunteers for field day, so please consider signing up to help. Some of the games we need help with are:

“Capture the Cone”
“Never Ending Tag”
“Water Party”
“Sponge Relay”
“Crab Soccer”
“Kool Zone”
“Drip, Drip, Drop”
“Parachute”

We have a few water games that we will definitely need parent help with, especially with help refilling the water buckets as needed. If you help with a game, your main job will be to help monitor the game (the classroom teachers will be there as well) and to help rest the game in between groups. It's a great way to volunteer and help our students have the best day possible!

¡Estamos a menos de un mes del 2 de abril - el día de las presentaciones de Kinder y 1o y el Día de Campo de Kinder a 5to!  Necesitamos más voluntarios para el día de campo. ¡Por favor considere apuntarse para ayudar! Algunos de los juegos que necesitan voluntarios son:

"Fiesta de Agua"

"Carrera de Esponja"

"Fútbol Cangrejo"

"Zona Fresca"

"Goteo, Goteo, Gota"

"Paracaídas"

Tenemos varios juegos de agua donde definitivamente necesitaremos ayuda de los padres, especialmente para ayudar a llenar cubetas de agua cuando sea necesario. Si ayuda con un juego, su trabajo principal será ayudar a cuidar el juego (habrá maestras con cada grupo de estudiantes) y ayudar a reiniciar el juego entre cada grupo. ¡Esta es una gran oportunidad para ser voluntario y ayudar a nuestros estudiantes a tener el mejor día posible!

Congratulations to our Ms. Wynn and Ms. Kreitzer!

Ms. Wynn is Rocky Point's Teacher of the Year. She has been teaching for 7 years and 4 of those years have been here. She teaches Kindergarten and has the entire time she's been here at RPE.

Ms. Kreitzer is our Beginning Teacher of the Year. Ms. Kreitzer has been teaching for 3 years. She is a 1st grade teacher and has been the entire time here at RPE. She even did her teaching internship here at Rocky Point. She grew up in Rocky Point and went to RPE when she was younger!

We are so lucky to have these amazing teachers be part of our Rocky Point family!
