Congratulations to our 8th grade girls soccer players on a winning season! They finished it off today with a BANG! 😉 We wish you the best on all of your future endeavors on and off the pitch! 🖤🐝⚽️

Penderlea students in 6th, 7th and 8th grades completed another milestone in the NC Career Development Plan with the help of PLS counselor Ms. Thompson, elective teachers, Bevin Stokes the PHS career development coordinator, and the middle school career development coordinator. Sixth grade students explored and compared math and language arts careers while seventh grade defined different areas of interest that match careers. Eighth grade prepared for high school registration by completing four year course plans. They stored their plans in a high school career development Google classroom so the plans can roll up with them. Ask them to show you their plan!

It's our final home soccer game and we will recognize our 8th grade soccer players immediately following the girls game in the gym. Come support our Hornets as we finish up our season with a bang! Let's GO HORNETS! #feelthesting

Yesterday our students had the opportunity to listen and learn with Dancing Drums during their Specials/Electives. They learned to play instruments and even a few songs!

Brrrrrrrr!! It's going to be a cold one on the pitch today! Don't worry though, our Hornet soccer team will be bringing the HEAT! Come show your support during the last week of regular season games.

Mrs. Treto’s students followed a recipe to create their own pumpkin pie in a cup! 🥧 After, they used descriptive and specific language to explain to someone else how to make it too!

When we come back from Thanksgiving Break , we will have Spirit Days until Winter Break!

Mrs. Deal’s class learned about making butter and how heavy cream can be shaken to preserve the milk just like the early settlers would do. It was then enjoyed with corn bread!

It's Monday so that means it's soccer time! Our Hornets have one of their last home games today and it will most likely be a battle! Please join us as we take on the Grizzlies in what's sure to be a great game! We want to hear your HORNET PRIDE on those sidelines! Let's GO!!!
The boys will begin at 3:45 (or as soon as the referees arrive) and the girls will immediately follow.

This week’s Word of the Week is Reflect. Reflect means to think about something carefully.
