Field Day Volunteers Needed – Let’s Make It a Day to Remember! 🎉
We’re excited to host our Field Day on May 30th, and we need your help to make it a fun and smooth event for our students!
We’re looking for volunteers to assist with a variety of tasks including:
Running activity/game stations! and Cheering on our amazing kids!
Volunteers can be guardians, older siblings, parents, grandparents, or high schoolers in the need of volunteer hours. Whether you can help for a couple hours or stay the whole time, we truly appreciate your support.

We are in need of volunteers to serve as proctors during our upcoming End-of-Grade (EOG) testing sessions. Your support is essential in helping us maintain a focused and secure testing environment for our students.
📅 Testing Dates: May 20, 22, and 28
🕘 Time Commitment: Typically 2-3 hours per session (you do not have to volunteer for each day)
📍 Location: Penderlea School
No prior experience is necessary—training will be provided!

In honor or Earth Day, Ms. Sapp’s 3rd graders learned about the importance of keeping our Earth cleaned and cared for. So, the students decided to pick up trash in the front of the school to help keep our community and school clean!
Join us for our annual "Moving On Up" night on Thursday, May 8th! This important event offers families the opportunity to visit their child's next grade level and meet the teachers. We're offering two sessions: Session 1 from 4:00 PM - 4:45 PM and Session 2 from 4:45 PM - 5:30 PM.
During your visit, you'll receive information about your child's future teachers, grade-level curriculum and content, and ways to support your child's learning at home. Plus, enjoy a yummy popcorn snack!

April 18-21--No School Reminder
PBIS will be hosting a popcorn fundraiser with the popcorn brand, Double Good. This fundraiser will be starting April 7th at 8 am and ending April 11th at 8am. It will be a four day virtual fundraiser and 50% of the proceeds go to our school to help continue funding items in the Hornet’s Nest School Store. All orders will be shipped directly to them and prices start at $11 and there’s a variety of flavors.
