Beta Club

The Pender High School Beta Club racked up a number of awards at the State Convention in Greensboro the last weekend in January. First place honors went to Grace Bordeaux in Biomedical Health Science-Twelfth Grade, Chloe Moore in Division I Color Photography, Odalis Garcia, Grace Bordeaux, Linde Cline, Ella Blanton, and Hannah Dixon in Division II Recyclable Art, and Miya Jones, Genesis Hernandez, and Madi Giddeons in Accessory Design. Second place honors went to Madison Culifer in Agriscience-Twelfth Grade and Alyna Rooks in Biomedical Health Science-Ninth Grade. Third Place honors went to Katlyn Iddings in Biomedical Health Science-Eleventh Grade and Pasco Horton in Division I Woodworking. Fourth Place honors went to Lexi Milam in Social Studies-Ninth Grade, Jensen Bordeaux in Biomedical Health Science-Tenth Grade, Olivia Gurganus in Club Trading Pin, PHS Beta Club for their Campaign Skit, and Ellie Williams for Performing Arts-Solo, Duo, Trio Dancers. Ellie also received a Golden Ticket to be a Premier Performer at Nationals this summer. Fifth place honors went to Ellie Williams, Kaylee Woodcock, and Gracey Wells in Division I Recycled Art and the Living Lit team which included C J Allen, Brooke Fuller, Pasco Horton, Linde Cline, Julius Yasir, Olivia Gurganus, Lexi Milam, Zach McGowen, Jensen Bordeaux, Grace Bordeaux, and Miya Jones. We want to congratulate the Beta Club on a job well done and wish them luck this summer at Nationals in Savannah, Georgia, June 16-19.
