Due to technical difficulties yesterday, we were not able to announce the Eagles of the Week BUT today, we're back on track! Check out our Eagles who were called out for SOARING in the nest last week! We are into the last month of school - and our Eagles are really showing all their skills!

Various shots from The Royal Sneaker Ball! Looks at those marvelous sneakers! (and the kids are pretty cool too! ) Thanks to our PTO for hosting this event and THANK YOU to the families who were able to attend!

Last Friday night, The Eagle's Nest hosted A Royal Sneaker Ball. Here are the Kings and Queens of the evening!

Mrs. Boerigter's 3rd grade learned about the life cycle of butterflies. Earlier this week, they released their butterflies to continue the cycle!

The Eagles Nest is thankful for Burgaw Baptist Church who sponsored our "Give 5 Take 5" book give away for the 2nd grade classes. If you look closely, you will see familiar Eagle who retired from the nest (Mrs. Humphrey!)

A few pictures from Miss Courtney's 4th grade Earth Day activity. (Check out those smiles! Learning is fun in the Eagle's Nest!)

4th grade enjoyed participating in the Ocean Studies Program at Kure Beach Pier. Students dissected squids, went fishing, explored the coastal region, and went on a fossil hunt! It was a fun day in the sun! (These pictures are Miss Courtney's class.)

Happy Administrative Professionals Day to two of the best in PCS - Mr. Younginer and Mrs. Baker!! They both received a cup & plant as small token of our LARGE appreciation for all they do to keep the Eagles Nest running smoothly!!

As you can see, Pre-K Field Day is very well put together and is a blast for students and families! We are excited to have these little Eaglets move into Kindergarten next year!

All Day Long, Pre-K Eaglets were coming and going!

This picture sums up life perfectly! Sometimes we need to speed our team along and sometimes we need to slow our team down!

The looks on these students' faces sums up Pre-K Field Day!!!

Hippity Hoppity - we won't stoppity until we run out of energy!! Pre-K Field Day is always a blast!

Never doubt all future jobs start in Pre-K! Check out the perfect form these Eaglets are using to pass the sponges during their Field Day last Friday at Heide Trask High School! Future Football stars in the making! And see "Coach Faison-Lambe" encouraging her team to use proper form to execute the play.

Yesterday was a busy PLC day for MCE's instructional coach, Melanie Rhyne, and the teaching staff. During each grade level's PLC meeting, the teams looked at data and set EOY (End of Year) goals. But the best part of the meeting was playing "move our stickies" on the data wall for children who are showing growth! It was A LOT of sticky moving all throughout the grades!! We are SOARING Eagles!

Miss Carroll's 1st grade class did a trash clean up on the first and second grade playground this morning in honor of Earth Day. Way to support our school and the environment Little Eagles!!
