Mrs. Ursula's 2nd grade class enjoyed a special visit with newly hatched chicks! The kids were excited to hold the chicks and learn about the incubation and hatching period from their classmate. Thanks for sharing G and his mom!

Students were ushered out of the 23-24 school year with a shark and an Eagle (the Eagle spotting is harder to see but she's there!). Staff and students were all smiles and some tears as we bit farewell to 23-24. Have a GREAT SUMMER!

The picture says it all!

5th grade moving up ceremony starting soon ... Eagles will be flying out of the nest soon ...

Our last Monday of the 23-24 school year and the last Eagle of the Week for SOARing behavior post. All our Eagles in the Nest are the BEST! Here are a few classes for today.

A 3rd grade Eagle's shirt sums up the Math and Reading EOGs this week .... the Eagles in the nest were "crushin' it"!! All that is left to crush is the 5th grade Science EOG next Tuesday. Thank you parents for "crushin'" your part by helping your Eagle be to school on time and having a good night's sleep.

Pictures from Mrs. Robinson's class from the 4th grade field trip a few weeks ago. (Oops! The pictures were lost in email ...)

Field Post Post 8: Seriously Eagle Families, next week is it for the school year. Our biggest tip is to give your Eagle a bucket and some water and have them run across the yard. :) #thesmilesontheirfacessaysitall

Field Fest Post 7: Our music Emcee Mrs. Barnes kept the jams going while the Eagles played! (She might be be hire during the summer LOL!) And check out those Eagles running with the buckets of water. I bet they could throw that water on a vehicle and help wash it in no time! (Kids love buckets of water!!!)

Field Fest Post 6: Have you noticed the teachers getting in on the game action too? Nothing like a Field Fest to bring out the kid (and competition), in us all!

Field Fest Post 5: Team works make the dream work ... when you're not laughing so hard your wheelbarrow loses its wheel! #OURFIELDFESTISTHEBEST

Field Fest Post 4: The weather held out ALL DAY for the event! The clouds rolled in for the afternoon but with all the water already flying around, no one noticed a sprinkle or two! Check out those ice cream treats and the smiles ...

Field Fest Post 3: Look at those buckets of water being carried by expert Eagles. Car washing skills in the making!! #Summertimejobhelpers

Field Fest Post 2: Are you noticing the smiles? and the water? and the pictures with water and smiles? LOL! And if you look closely, you will see teachers joining in with the students! It was a great day for all at the Eagle's Nest!

Field Fest Post 1. Notice the smiles, the water, the running ... did we mention smiles??

Parents, I hope you noticed Friday night your little Eagles were TIRED!! This is all thanks to Coach Randall who leads our wonderful Field Fest days at the nest! And a HUGE THANK YOU to Ms. Havens for taking wonderful photos of the day! Field Fest photos coming up and thanks again Coach Randall for a wonderful day at the Eagle's Nest and all the hard work it takes to make the day happen!

More SOARing behavior last week ...

This past Saturday, Pender County held its annual Springfest. It was a beautiful day and lots of pictures were floating around Facebook from the event. We saw 2 of our Eagles in the pictures.

our PTO has shown lots of love to the staff this week for Teacher Appreciation! Monday was a Chick Fil A breakfast, Tuesday and Wednesday were lunches and today was a dessert bar and an MCE tote bag! Thank you PTO for your support!

This week, Teachers of the Year across the district were celebrated at the Board of Education meeting. Our own Teacher of the Year, Mr. Hicks, attended and was recognized by the Superintendent and the Board of Education. Way to Soar Mr. Hicks! We appreciate all you do for our Eagles in the Nest!
