On Monday, guest speakers from CFCC's Chemical Technology program came on campus to speak to students about their program and career field. Students who participated in the Chemical Technology presentation were able to analyze DNA as they extracted chromosomes from a strawberry.
On Monday, guest speakers from CFCC's Dental Hygiene program came on campus to speak to students about their program and career field. Students were able to learn more about the importance of keeping your teeth healthy by observing a dental mold.

Friday, 8th grade students had the opportunity to tour CFCC's downtown campus. Students were able to see inside of the Wilson Center and Schwartz Center, home of the Sea Devils basketball and volleyball teams.
This week all 8th grade students were able to participate in a real world financial literacy activity. Thank you to Ms. Wilkins for inviting SECU into the classroom so students could take part in this!
Some of our students attended the Manufacturing Expo at Cape Fear Community College yesterday. While there, students were able to talk to many businesses and professionals about careers within the field of manufacturing.
Yesterday, 6th grade math students practiced their real-world ratio skills in a Starbucks café.
