Good evening West Pender Middle School families, this is Principal Garza with your Weekly Warrior message. We had an absolutely fabulous first week of clubs and enrichment. Students were engaged in fun activities that ranged from photography to coding. Look to our social media platforms this week for some enrichment pictures & videos!
September is Suicide Prevention Month. To proactively bring awareness, our fabulous counselor, Mrs. Hopkins, will educate students on suicide prevention through classroom guidance lessons. If you do NOT wish for your child to participate in the Suicide Prevention lessons, waivers should have been signed and returned last week. If we do not hear from you, we will assume your child has permission to participate in these valuable lessons. Please contact Brenna Hopkins at brenna_hopkins@pender.k12.nc.us for more information.
WPMS Athletics: We have two athletic events scheduled for this week. On Wednesday, September 21st our Football players will play away at Topsail Middle School. This game starts at 4:30PM. On Thursday, September 22nd, our Softball players will play away at Topsail Middle School. This game starts at 4:00PM. We hope to see you all there!
School Picture Day: Say cheese! This Thursday is School Picture Day! We will not have enrichment classes this Thursday to account for our school picture schedule. We look forward to snapping pictures of our smiling Warriors!
