Greetings Warrior Families,
This is your West Pender Middle School Weekly Update.
We hope that everyone has enjoyed their Easter Holiday break. Students will not attend school on Monday, April 18th due to an optional teacher workday. We hope to see all students in attendance on Tuesday, April 19th.
We will host our 6th grade transition night for parents and current 5th grade students that will attend West Pender Middle School on Thursday, April 21st from 6pm to 7pm. We encourage all rising 6th grade parents and students to come out and meet your future teachers and school staff. Dinner will be served to all that are in attendance.
Our Warrior Baseball and Volleyball teams continue to play this week. On Tuesday, April 19th, our Volleyball team travels to Topsail Middle School, while our baseball team plays host to Cape Fear Middle School. On Thursday, April 21st, the Volleyball team will travel to Surf City Middle School and the Baseball team will travel to Penderlea School. All games begin at 4:00pm with an admission price of $5. For questions or concerns regarding athletics, please reach out to Coach Skipper.
The 8th Grade Formal is fast approaching on April 30th. If you have questions or need assistance preparing for the formal, please reach out to our Media Center Coordinator, Mrs. Diggs. We look forward to a great event.
We would like to remind families that masks are now optional in classrooms, on school grounds, and on school transportation. All students, staff, and community members are encouraged to make their own decisions regarding their personal health into choosing whether to wear a mask. You may contact the school nurse with any questions or concerns.
