This is your West Pender Middle School Weekly Update.
Thank you to all who joined us for Tech Night last week. Please stay tuned as we prepare to host the next Tech Night in February.
Our Warrior Basketball teams and cheerleaders travel to Burgaw Middle on Tuesday, February 1st and then to Penderlea School on February 4th. The games will begin at 4:00 pm with an admission price of $5. We encourage everyone to come out and support our Warriors.
Pender High School will be hosting their annual freshman orientation on Thursday, Feb. 3rd. Students will visit PHS between 9:30 and 11:30am to tour campus, visit elective classrooms, and receive important HS registration information and high school expectations. That evening, PHS will host a fair from 5pm-7pm that will showcase our core subject areas, elective offerings, clubs, organizations, and athletic programs. Students and parents are invited to attend in our school gym. Students will be able to meet staff, learn about offerings specific to PHS, and register for elective courses for the upcoming school year. If students are able, they are encouraged to bring chromebooks to the evening fair from 5pm-7pm.
We would like to remind all families that masks are optional in classrooms and on school grounds. Masks are still mandatory on all school buses. All students, staff, and community members are encouraged to make their own decisions regarding their personal health into choosing whether to wear a mask. You may contact the school nurse with any questions or concerns.
