Catch My Breath Prevention Program: The Pender County Health Department will visit West Pender Middle to teach the Catch My Breath Prevention Program, which helps students make healthy choices and avoid the risks of e-cigarettes. An Opt-Out Form has been provided to all 6th and 8th graders. If you do not want your child to participate, please return the completed form to Nurse Freeman by March 18th.

School Reassignments for 2025-26: The school reassignment application is open from February 1st to March 31st. If you want your child to attend a school outside their assigned zone, submit an application [here]. A separate application is required for each student. (Duplicate submissions may cause delays.)
Pender County Schools Career Fair: Looking for a career in education? Attend the PCS Career Fair to explore job opportunities and connect with school representatives. All 19 schools will be present to discuss openings and highlight the district’s commitment to student success and professional development.

March Perfect Attendance Incentive: The SGA is rewarding students for perfect attendance! One student from each grade (6th, 7th, and 8th) with perfect attendance in March will win a $25 gift card. Show up every day for your chance to win!

Volleyball Tryouts: March 17th & 18th | 3:00 - 5:00 PM | WPMS Gym 
All athletic forms must be submitted to participate.
Baseball Tryouts: March 17th | 3:30 - 5:00 PM | Pender Memorial Park
Players must arrange their own ride. Bring your own glove. All required forms (physical, concussion, and eligibility forms) must be uploaded in Big Teams.
