NC Aquarium Field Trip – 8th Grade
The 8th-grade field trip to the NC Aquarium has been rescheduled for Monday, February 17. Students will depart campus at 8:45 AM and return at 2:15 PM. Please remember:
No backpacks or Chromebooks should be brought to school that day. Pack snacks for your child, as lunch options may be limited.
School Reassignments for the 2025-26 School Year
The school reassignment application is open from February 1st to March 31st. If you would like your student to attend a school other than their zoned school, please complete the application using the link below. A separate application is required for each student, and duplicate submissions may cause delays.

School-wide NC Check-in Testing
8th-grade students will take a Science formative assessment on Thursday, February 13. To prepare, we ask that students bring their Chromebooks and chargers to school on Wednesday, February 12.
School Improvement Team (SIT) Meetings
Our SIT meetings are open to families and community members! We encourage your participation in discussions that help shape WPMS. Join us in the WPMS P.O.W.E.R. Studio at 3:15 PM on:
