West Pender Beta Club Leads by Example with Campus Cleanup

The West Pender Beta Club has taken the lead in demonstrating the power of service by organizing a school-wide trash cleanup event. Armed with gloves, trash bags, and a commitment to making their school a better place, club members spent an afternoon beautifying the campus.

The cleanup initiative was inspired by the Beta Club motto: "Let us lead by serving others." Through their efforts, students not only improved the school environment but also set an example of community service and leadership.

"I enjoy cleaning up around our school," says member Hannah Chavez. "It makes me feel good to give back to our school community and feel like I’m making a difference."

Faculty and staff applauded the students’ dedication and hard work. “The Beta Club truly embodies the spirit of service,” says Ms. McKay. “They’ve shown that leadership isn’t just about telling others what to do—it’s about rolling up your sleeves and working together for the good of everyone.”

The cleanup effort resulted in several bags of trash collected from the school grounds, making the campus cleaner and more inviting. For Beta Club members, the impact was as much about the message they were sending as it was about the visible results.

The West Pender Beta Club plans to continue its efforts in the coming months, with more projects aimed at serving the school and the wider community. This cleanup is just the beginning of what promises to be a year filled with meaningful service and leadership.

As the Beta Club reminds everyone, “Let us lead by serving others”—a motto that these students have certainly put into action.
