Good Evening, Warrior Families! Here are your updates for the week ahead:

Strategic Plan Development Survey: Pender County Schools is currently in the second week of collecting survey responses for the PCS Strategic Plan Development. Student voices are essential to shaping our community’s goals for PCS, and we encourage their participation. Here’s what to know:

  • Survey Date: Wednesday, November 6, 2024

  • Participation: Middle and high school students will be reminded to take the optional survey through their ClassLink log-in.

  • Opt-Out: If you do not want your child to participate in the survey at school, please fill out this opt-out form by Monday, November 4th, and return it to your child’s school.

Important Dates This Week

  • Tuesday, November 5th - Mandatory Teacher Workday
    No student activities will take place on campus.

  • Wednesday, November 6th - Report Cards Issued
    All students will receive their report cards at the end of the day from their advisory teacher.

  • Friday, November 8th - Academic Achievement Recognition
    We will celebrate our students' academic accomplishments during advisory classes.

Upcoming Assessments: Math NC Check-In Assessments

  • Date: Wednesday, November 6, 2024

  • This NC Check-in will help measure student progress and guide our teachers in refining instruction to support each student’s needs. Encourage your child to approach these assessments with confidence—they are valuable tools for growth.

School Improvement Plan: Curious about our School Improvement Plan? Learn more and provide your input on improving West Pender Middle School by visiting our School Improvement Plan page. We also welcome you to join us at our next School Improvement Team and Parent Advisory Council (PAC) meeting on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.

Athletics Updates: Soccer Season Is Here! Our first home game is this week:

  • Monday, November 4th - 3:45 PM @ CFMS

  • Thursday, November 7th - 3:45 PM at home vs BMS
    The girls’ team plays first. Check out the full soccer schedule to stay updated!

Upcoming Important Dates

  • November 11, 2024 - Holiday (No School)

  • November 27-29, 2024 - Thanksgiving Break (No School)
