We want to say thank you for coming out and supporting our 3rd annual Curriculum Fair with us this past week. We had an absolute blast. We have some exciting updates and important dates to share with you for this upcoming week!
CIS After-School Program
The Community in Schools (CIS) After-School program begins this Monday. Please remember, students can only attend if all registration requirements have been completed, including the parent meeting. If you still need to finish these steps, please contact CIS as soon as possible.
Flu Vaccine Clinic – October 31, 2024
It's flu season! The Pender County Health Department will be at West Pender Middle on October 31, 2024, offering flu vaccines to students and staff. If you'd like your child to receive the vaccine, please fill out the flu form online using the links below. Staff members can also register using their designated form. If you have any questions, please reach out to Nurse Freeman at 910-789-6064. Vaccine forms are attached to this Sunday message in your email.
Junior Beta Club Induction Ceremony – October 17
Join us this Thursday, October 17, for the Junior Beta Induction Ceremony. We are thrilled to celebrate the students being inducted into this prestigious club!
Athletics Updates
Football: Our undefeated football team plays their last home game this Wednesday, October 16, at 4:30 PM at Pender High School. Come out and cheer for our 8th graders as they play their final home game!
Soccer Tryouts:
Boys' Soccer Tryouts: October 17–18 from 3:15 PM to 5:30 PM
Girls' Soccer Tryouts: October 17 from 3:15 PM to 5:30 PM
Students must bring proper athletic gear, including cleats, shin guards, and a change of clothes (no slides, Crocs, jeans, or non-athletic clothing). Please also ensure all eligibility requirements are completed on the Big Teams platform.
