Good Evening, Warrior Families! There are many updates for this week!
1. Free In-Person Middle School Tutoring (6-8); Sponsored by RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program)
Locations:
Burgaw Senior Center (901 South Walker St, Burgaw)
Rocky Point Methodist Church (13700 State Hwy 210, Rocky Point)
When: Mondays after school (starting October 7, 2024)
Space is limited! First come, first served. Flyer attached.

2. Opt-Out Notification Form for Student Information
Attached is the 24-25 Opt-Out Notification Form to prevent or restrict the release of certain student information. Federal law requires that we provide military recruiters with names, addresses, and phone listings of public school students unless parents submit a written opt-out request.If you wish to restrict the release of your student’s information, please print, complete, and return the form to the school.
3. Wilmington Walk for Type 1 Diabetes

4. 8th Grade College Accelerated Program (CAP) Meeting
When: October 1st @ 6:00 PM
Where: Pender High School Media Center
Details: Learn about the College Accelerated Program (CAP), a partnership between Pender County Schools and Cape Fear Community College (CFCC), allowing students to earn a high school diploma and college credits simultaneously.
CAP students begin earning college credits at CFCC in their junior year and can complete their high school diploma and an associate degree in four years.
5. Athletic Updates
Softball: Monday, September 30th @ 4:00 PM vs. SCMS
Football: Wednesday, October 2nd @ TMS

6. New Student Information System (Infinite Campus)
Pender County Schools has transitioned from PowerSchool to Infinite Campus.
Parent Portal Access: To access grades, attendance, and updates, complete the Google form HERE (provide information for your oldest student).
Important: Only complete the form once. Allow 24-48 hours for processing. Students will log in using their NCEdCloud information.
