Dear West Pender Middle School Families,
I hope this message finds you well. As we approach a new week, here are the latest updates from our Warrior community:
PECHS Applications: The Pender Early College High School is now accepting applications. There is a parental information session coming up on Wednesday, November 8th at the Pender Early College from 6:00-7:00PM.
NC Check-in Assessments (November 7th & 9th):
This Tuesday, November 7th all students will be taking their Reading NC Check-in assessments. This evaluation is crucial in gauging their progress thus far. Additionally, our 8th graders will take their Science NC Check-in assessment on Thursday.
8th Grade Students - Chromebook Reminder:
Attention 8th graders: Please remember to bring your chromebooks and chargers to school this Monday in preparation for testing. These will be securely stored on campus until all three NC Check-in assessments are completed. Students in 6th and 7th grade will not need to bring their chromebooks home.
Free Physicals with PATH (November 8th):
PATH will have a Nurse Practitioner on campus on Wednesday, November 8th, for students in need of sports physicals. Ensure you've enrolled your student online at [link] and completed the NCHSAA health history pages ASAP.
Military Information Update (Deadline: November 10th):
We kindly remind parents with federal connections to complete the Military Information Update form in your Scribbles account. This data is crucial for securing the Impact Aid Grant and must be submitted no later than Friday, November 10, 2023.
Athletic Updates: WPMS will host our second home soccer game against Cape Fear Middle School on Monday, November 6th. The girls' game will kick off at 3:30PM, followed promptly by the boys' game. Both teams will be on the road at Pender Memorial Park to take on Burgaw Middle School on Thursday.
