Good evening West Pender Middle School families, this is Principal Garza with your Weekly Warrior message. We want to say thank you to all the parents that joined us this past Wednesday at our first Spring Fest. Thank you for being a learner and being invested in your child’s academic performance. This Thursday, students will receive progress reports from all teachers. Please be sure to ask students about these reports to keep you informed about their progress in their classes.
This week WPMS students will take their final NC Check-in assessments. These assessments will provide us insights into student’s academic progress thus far this school year. We will use this assessment data to create End-of Grade remediation and tutoring groups as we get closer to our state exams in May. All students will need to bring their chromebook and charger to school Tuesday, April 18th.
This week is military spirit week. We celebrate all military personnel and their families.
- Monday - Wear Purple Day - Wear purple to celebrate all the military branches working together.
- Tuesday - Crazy Camo Day - Represent your military branch and wear your best camo.
- Wednesday - R.E.D. Awareness Day - Let’s Remember Everyone Deployed by wearing red.
- Thursday - Career Day - There are so many careers in the military. Dress for your favorite career!
- Friday - Pajama Day - We sleep soundly at night thanks to those that protect our nation.
