Students are using math and engineering concepts combined with children’s literature to learn about Martin Luther King, Jr. in all STEM classes this week. First grade students read the book “Martin’s Dream” by Jane Kurtz, which tells about MLK’s dream of equality for all people. Students learned how balance scales show equality through measurement and worked in teams to create their own balance scale models.

Ms. Boezi plays a vital role in ensuring the school runs smoothly and efficiently, going above and beyond her official duties to support students, staff, and the entire school community. Ms. Boezi is a master of organization and precision, keeping the school’s budget on track, ensuring compliance with all guidelines, and achieving flawless audits. She does all this while also stepping in as a part-time receptionist and ensuring substitute positions are filled daily—always with a warm and welcoming presence. Her influence goes far beyond the numbers. Ms. Boezi is a cornerstone of school culture, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
