We had a wonderful day with Dr. Breedlove yesterday!

A long and very informative day at Surf City Middle for Listening & Learning with Dr Breedlove who left with outstanding information, a lot of smiles, and a wiggly shark! #PCSPride youtu.be/w_2gFs9Cyiw

Congratulations to our Battle of the Books team on their 2nd place finish in the Pender County competition today! Great job, Sharks!

Thanks so much to our Surf City WalMart for providing lunch for our Battle of the Books team for today's county competition! We love the artwork too!

Our Sharks rock!

Maddie did an amazing job coding her Sphero through a multi-step task. Great work!

Mrs. Hill’s class wrapped up their unit on body systems by doing a dissection of a frog allowing the student to really visualize the parts of the internal anatomy. We were able to make a lot of comparisons between a frogs anatomy and our own and students came away with a much better understanding of how all the “parts” (organs) fit and work together.

Many thanks to Mrs. Friend and friends/8th grade moms for the delicious, and very thoughtful, breakfast for the staff this morning! It was so appreciated on this February Friday...thank you!!!

In Mrs. Dapper's Social Studies class, students searched for clues in the classroom to solve the mystery of which historical figure committed a crime along The Silk Road. Students had to utilize their knowledge about the history of ancient China and the Silk Road to figure out whodunnit!

Thanks so much to our amazing Technology Dept for everything they do! Nothing says "we appreciate you" like a wiggly shark!

Thanks so much to our awesome bus drivers! Happy LOVE THE BUS WEEK!

Shout out to Savannah for bringing in nuts and bolts and fixing our foosball table, which was on its last leg, literally. Great job, Savannah!

Last week, Mrs. Dapper's 6th grade ELA students researched different African American people to learn more for Black History month. Each student conducted research, created a one pager, and presented their topic to the class.
