February is Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month! Every February, the CTE community celebrates CTE Month® to raise awareness of the role that CTE has in readying learners for college and career success. CTE Month is also a time to recognize and celebrate the achievements and accomplishments of our CTE partners at the local, state and national level. This week, Pender County Schools will be participating in CTE spirit week
Monday - Hats off to CTE - Wear your best hat
Tuesday - I love CTE - Wear hearts for CTE
Wednesday - Get caught up with CTE - Wear your fishing gear
Thursday - Enrolled, Enlisted, Employed - Wear college, career, or military shirts
Friday - CTE Rocks - Rock your CTE colors with Rock and Roll gear
February is Love The Bus Month! Please also help celebrate School Bus Driver Appreciation Week February 13th through the 17th. Please help us show some love for our wonderful Bus Drivers!
OMKC is preparing for the Month of the Military Child in April and we need your help. If you have not yet registered your child for the club (which meets after school on the 3rd Friday of each month), please go to: http://operationmilitarykidsclubs.com. Every military kid registered with OMKC by March 1st will be getting a star to represent them at their school during the month of April as we recognize all the military kids who make our schools shine. Then, in place of club at the school in April, we will be hosting the Freedom Family Fest at Kiwanis Park on April 30th from 1-4pm, for all our military kids and their families! Mark your calendars and plan to join us for the fun!

Share the Table (food pantry) is asking for cereal box donations through Valentine's Day. We are asking families to bring in unopened cereal boxes for donations. We will create a cereal box domino as we have done in years past.
