Calling all Military Families - At some point in the past, you may have indicated that you are federally connected by either being active duty or a federal civil service employee. Federal regulations require that we collect this information EVERY YEAR by a specific date. Pender County Schools needs to have this information by Monday, January 23rd. We have moved this process online via Scribbles instead of sending out the paper survey cards. Due to federal guidelines, we are required to have parents/guardians that are federally connected complete the survey as of January 23, 2023. The correct reporting of the number of students who are federally connected directly impacts the services we can provide to our federally connected students. Please login to your Scribbles account and complete the Military Information Update form for each of your PCS students. This will enable us to capture accurate data to submit the Impact Aid Grant. We are asking that this be submitted no later than Monday, January 23. 2023.

If you have already done this in Scribbles, THANK YOU, and please disregard this message. If you have not, you may find the form by following the link below.

Did you know that healthy teeth are important for your child’s overall health and learning?  The North Carolina Oral Health Section will conduct dental screenings for children in Kindergarten during the 2022-2023 school year.  The dental screenings will be completed by a licensed public health dental hygienist with the Oral Health Section on Tuesday 1/17/23.  The hygienist will use gloves and a flashlight during the screening.

The data we collect is used to improve oral health programs for children and youth in your county.  The dental screening is also a positive experience that provides your child the opportunity to learn about good dental care, even if your child sees a dentist regularly.

Please send a note to Nurse Anita if you do not wish for your child to participate.
