Our teachers are hard at work this morning, learning about an exciting new program for Pender County Schools! LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) is designed to help students learn reading skills such as phonics, vocabulary, and comprehension. (And check out our awesome IAs, who helped direct visitors to RPES to the training!)

We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Gupton to Rocky Point as one of our new Kindergarten teachers! Ms. Gupton moved to Wilmington this summer and loves spending time at the beach!

Here's one of our new 1st grade teachers! Ms. Harman spent her summer moving to Wilmington, and she loves tacos and Dunkin' Donuts - yummy!
Meet Ms. Armstrong! Ms. Armstrong will be joining the 3rd grade team at Rocky Point this year. She spent the summer playing with her pups (Ben and Cooper) and reading. Fun fact: Ms. Armstrong strives to read 100 books every year!
Rocky Point is excited to welcome all of our new staff members! Ms. Morrison will be joining us as a 2nd grade teacher, and Mr. Montooth will be joining the 5th grade team.
Fun Facts: Ms. Morrison has an absolutely adorable son named Odin, and Mr. Montooth has been a surfer since 5th grade. He has even traveled to Central America on surfing trips!
