We are so excited to welcome Ms. Samantha Carter to our RPES family as our School Social Worker! Ms. Carter's favorite color is purple (have you noticed that a lot of our staff likes purple?) and she loves seafood. She went to Western Carolina University - Go, Catamounts! If you see her in the hallway, make sure you say 'hi!'

Her favorite color is purple, and her favorite snack is chocolate covered pretzels - yummy! She has two beautiful children, Ryan and Adeline. Her favorite thing to do? Read! Her favorite series? Hi, families of upcoming kindergarten students! Your future kindergarten teachers wanted to share an update about our “staggered start” for kindergarten. Each student will be assigned a start day - either Monday 8/28, Tuesday 8/29, or Wednesday 8/30. Your child will only come one of those days and your child’s teacher will let you know what day they are assigned tonight at open house! After Wednesday, all kindergarten students will attend on Thursday 8/31 and continue to come every day from then on. We can’t wait to meet each of you tonight and are ready for a fabulous school year!

Time to meet a few new staff members! Ms. Feit (pronounced like 'fight') will be joining our 4th grade team this year! Originally from New York, Ms. Feit is a big Giants and Mets fan. Her favorite color is lavender and her favorite food is mac 'n cheese. In her free time, she loves reading and going to the beach. You'll never guess her favorite animal.........a moose! Only a few more days until school starts, and we want to introduce you to some of our new faculty! Ms. Tiesha Fields (Ms. Tie) is not a new face to Rocky Point, but she will be working in Kindergarten as an IA with Ms. Gupton. Ms. Tie's favorite color is pink and she loves homemade mac 'n cheese. She loves to shop online and spend time with her family. Ms. Tie has a pit bull named Louie and a son who is going into 4th grade. Recently, Ms. Tie has become really interested in fitness, so you can say 'hi' to her next time you see her at the gym! We're so happy you're a part of our RPE family, Ms. Tie!

Ms. Roman is not a new face to Rocky Point, but she will be serving in a new role as the lead director of PACES, our after-school program. Her favorite color is green and she loves a good coffee (Hello, Starbucks!). She has three amazing kids, and she recently went back to school! Way to go! We're so glad to have you here with us, Ms. Roman!

She has a dog named Freyja and a cat named Ares. In her free time, she likes running, gardening, and going to the beach. We're so happy to have you, Ms. Kat!

Ms. Finch is a 3rd generation NC teacher and she loves playing piano - we'll have to sneak her into music class one day! Welcome to RPE, Ms. Finch!

Today, all PCS teachers are gathered at HTHS for our annual professional development conference - Rocky Point teachers are getting ready for a day of learning!

Rocky Point Elementary School Families, This message is for families of 1st through 5th graders, excluding new enrollments. As Pender County Schools has stated, all students will require a Chromebook Agreement in order to receive a Chromebook from school. The Chromebook Agreement is embedded in the Beginning of Year Application on Scribbles. Families completing this B.O.Y. application is extremely important for our records. It allows us to receive valuable updated information, for example, transportation, guardian phone number/address changes and emergency contact information. Our hopes are to have this completed before Open House so you can focus on the meet and greet with your child and teacher. Please take the time to submit the application online as soon as possible.
