Meet Ms. Long! Ms. Long is not new to RPE, but she is new in her role as she joins the kindergarten team as a teacher. She has been at Rocky Point for all 3 years of her teaching career, and she said, "There is no other school I would rather work at and raise my children in other than RPES!" Ms. Long, we're blessed to have you as a Rocky Point Ram!
Our K-2 students are working on their phonics skills with Fundations, while our 4th and 5th graders are working on their math! (Don't worry - we didn't forget 3rd grade. They're just busy taking their BOG!) #OnePender

3rd Graders, get ready! Your Beginning of Grade Test (BOG) will be on Wednesday, September 4th. Be sure to arrive on time to school (before 7:20) and eat a healthy breakfast so that you can do your best on the test!

Meet Ms. Kerler! Ms. Kerler is new to Rocky Point this year, but is not new to teaching - she's in her 7th year! She has two nieces, one of who lives in Hampstead. Ms. Kerler said, "I’m very excited to be teaching at RPE this year and to live closer to my family!" Ms. Kerler, we're so excited to welcome you as a Ram!
The Rocky Point Orchestra will be starting back up in September!
The Beginning Orchestra will meet on Tuesdays ; the Advanced Orchestra will meet on Thursdays. Both groups practice from 2:30-3:30.
The orchestra’s first practice will be the week of September 17th.
The club is open to students in grades 2-5.
Students may choose to play the violin, viola, cello, or bass.

Did You Know? Our Rocky Point Staff Shines Bright!
This week, we're highlighting our new assistant principal, Mrs. Bethanie Cramer! Mrs. Cramer has been in education for over 20 years, and has been a part of our Rocky Point family since 2022. Her favorite flower is Black-Eyed Susans (she has 10 in her yard!) and her favorite book is "The Things We Leave Unfinished." Mrs. Cramer said, "I am so excited and honored to be serving the families of Rocky Point." - and we're excited, too! Welcome to your new role, Mrs. Cramer!

📚🍟 Fries for School Supplies is Back! 🍟📚
We are excited to announce that for the second year in a row, our local McDonald’s owner-operators are hosting the Fries for School Supplies fundraiser in our school district!
Last year, over $110,000 was raised for our area schools, and we’re aiming to do even more this year! 🎉
From August 26th to 30th, McDonald’s will donate 10% of sales from all a la carte Fries to help support our schools. It’s a delicious way to contribute to our community! 🙌
