Did You Know? We have a partnership with Communities In Schools, and Ms. Michelle Stone serves as our school's coordinator. Communities In Schools (CIS) is a nationwide program that supports ALL students as they journey through their education on a path of success.
One of the big factors in a student's success is their attendance rate. Did you know that if a student misses just 2 days of school a month that over the course of their education, that will add up to a full YEAR of missed education?
Watch this video to learn more about the importance of school attendance: https://vimeo.com/1009227598?share=copy
You can also learn more about CIS here: https://www.communitiesinschools.org/
If you have questions or would like support, please reach out to Ms. Stone at michelle_stone@pender.k12.nc.us

We know you value your student's education, and we have a way that you can get even more involved! The PTO is holding a membership drive for anyone who wants to join; they are especially in need of volunteers for Hispanic Heritage Night (October 25th) and the October fundraiser. Email Ms. Nance or Ms. Roman for more information!
