Good afternoon Rocky Point Families,
Thank you for the phenomenal attendance this past week as we only have a few remaining make-up assessments from our Middle of Year mClass reading assessments. This upcoming week, students will be taking their Middle of Year mClass math assessments.
This past week, we began accepting applications for students interested in participating in this year’s talent show, which will be held on March 30. At this time, all we need from students is simply that they are interested in performing a talent live or would like to submit a talent via video that will be shown at our talent show. Talent show applications and rules can be found below and here is a link to view last year's talent show.
This Wednesday, January 25th, I am inviting parents of Rocky Point Elementary students to join me at 3:30 to provide feedback on this first semester and to discuss upcoming plans for the second semester. A reminder to families whose 4th and 5th grade students have committed to this year’s Science Olympiad team that practices will begin after school this upcoming Thursday, January 26th. Students will need to be picked up at 3:45pm.
As you may have seen on social media, parents of Pender County School students have the opportunity to meet the new superintendent, Dr. Breedlove, on Thursday, January 26, at Heide Trask High School from 6:00pm - 7:00pm.
All families that have indicated at some point that you are federally connected by either being active duty or a federal civil service employee should login to your Scribbles account and complete the Military Information Update form for each of your PCS students if you have not already done so. Due to federal guidelines, we are required to have parents/guardians that are federally connected complete the survey as of tomorrow, Monday, January 23, 2023.
