Mrs. Romero

Rocky Point students in Mrs. Romero’s 3rd grade class at wrapped up their day with an exciting and creative surprise. Mrs. Batten visited the classroom to lead an art project inspired by the abstract expressionist painter Jackson Pollock.

The students have been learning about Pollock through their Wit and Wisdom curriculum, particularly in the book Action Jackson, which explores the artist’s unique style and creative process. With Mrs. Batten's guidance, the class got hands-on experience experimenting with Pollock’s famous drip painting technique.

After a long morning of testing, the students were thrilled to unleash their creativity and bring their learning to life through art. The moment was filled with laughter, energy, and lots of colorful splatters—a perfect ending to a busy school day.
