field trip

Our kindergarten students recently took their learning beyond the classroom with an exciting field trip to Jungle Rapids Mini Golf! This adventure was more than just fun—it was a hands-on extension of their science unit on force and motion.

Earlier in the year, students learned how force and angles impact the movement of objects. To put that knowledge to the test, they each designed their own mini golf holes, thinking critically about how to direct a golf ball into the hole by adjusting strength and aim.

During the field trip, students experimented with different techniques to apply what they had learned in class. They observed how force and angle affected the direction and speed of the golf ball—making science come alive in the real world. They tested their ideas, experimented with different strategies, and had tons of fun while learning.

It was a great way to make science hands-on and exciting We’re proud of our young Ram scientists for their creativity, curiosity, and enthusiasm.
