4th graders also had the opportunity to go see the NC Symphony present an educational concert at the Wilson Center in Wilmington. Students learned about the instruments of the orchestra before the concert in their music classes, and then got to see the instruments in action at the concert. They heard music from a diverse array of composers including Samuel Coleridge Taylor, Joseph Hayden, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Juan Pablo Contreras, a modern Mexican composer.
