Pre-K students begin their school experience learning different skills through meaningful hands-on learning experiences throughout the day. From play-based learning centers, literacy development, and math exploration, our Pre-K Rams learn through play and active engagement. Teachers tap into their curiosity and enthusiasm to foster a creative, critical thinking, and collaboration environment.

The students are having a blast in Fundations and Heggerty, learning their letters, sounds, rhyming words, and parts of words.  They enjoy being our Heggerty Hero each day, getting to help out the teacher teach the Heggerty lesson.  They also love writing the letter of the week on the board, showing off their wonderful writing skills.

Students become architects and engineers in the Block Center when they are planning and building car washes, homes for people and animals, and constructing bridges. Students become artists in the Art Center, when they are creating sculptures with playdough, making 3-D structures out of open-ended art materials, and making masterpieces out of collage materials. Students enjoy coming to our Library Center, where they can “read” to the stuffed animals and their peers as well as retelling their favorite stories.

Students’ imaginations come to life in our Housekeeping Center, when they take on different roles.  Students become moms and dads taking care of their babies.  Students become construction workers and painters.  They also become various community helpers, like doctors, dentists, teachers, or chefs.
