parade

Each week our students are able to visit Music, STEAM, Media Center, and P.E for their Specials. All four of our teachers each bring their unique backgrounds and expertise to focus on fostering our students' creativity through hands on experiences.

In the Media Center, Kindergarteners learned about the history of the Macy Thanksgiving Day from the biography “Balloons Over Broadway”. The biography is about Tony Sarg who created the original balloons in the parade. Students made animal puppets and marched in a parade through the library. With marching band music and cheering, you would have thought it was Thanksgiving Day in New York City.

STEAM’s lesson combined engineering and science and challenged students to build an animal and the animal's habitat with only Legos. Our Rams were able to succeed with focus, growth mindset, and commitment. Creativity and critical thinking at its best with Mrs. Harrison!
