3rd grade has been hard at work the past nine weeks! We have completed our Module 1 The Sea with Wit and Wisdom, where we were able to learn about awesome sea creatures, inventions, and scientists! We learned about sharks, giant squid, sperm whales, Jacques Cousteau and his cool inventions; all while learning how to ask and answer questions, identify main idea, central message, key details, and become better readers! We had a book tasting of SPACE, our next module. We are excited to learn all about the moon landing and cool space inventions that scientists used to study space!
We have also been learning about landforms in science where we learned about the different types of land, water, and patterns on earth. We were able to create real models of different landforms and modify our landforms based on what we have been learning!
In math, we have been hard at work learning about multiplication and division! Students have done an amazing job using their strategies to solve problems, and even have been hands on in creating models to help solve! Right now we are diving deep into measurement and data!
